From quoting through to completion and everything in between every member of staff was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was taken care of. On the day of the job I have rarely come across a harder working team. From the moment they arrived until the moment they left they did not stop. I still can’t believe they completely demolished the pool, filled it in, compacted the site and spread the new top soil in one day. The job was completed as promised and the site was left clean and tidy. If you ever need any kind of earthworks I would highly recommend the team at A Team Earthmoving. - We had Mark and team do a pool removal job for us which included a significant amount external surroundings. They also arranged to lay the new turf for us. The team did a great job, were really professional and helpful. The main job was all done over two days and the clean up was excellent. Because of the significant rain we were having at the time, the did need to wait to finalise the re-turfing, but they came back at the first opportunity and it all looks great. - Our pool was 46 years old and past the point of saving. We found and contacted A-TEAM EARTHMOVING Qld via the internet. Mark RICHARDSON (owner/hands on director of works) attended our site and explained in clear and precise details the options which were available to us. There was NO HARD sales pitch nor pressure to decide. This made us feel at ease and choose him to do the work. The work commenced and finished on time as he had stated. All the workers were clean, neat and well mannered. They displayed a professional attitude towards their individual functions. All equipment (trucks and earth moving machinery etc) was clean, modern and well maintained. We are more than satisfied with the price and the finished product. I would sincerely recommend this company and trust you will be as pleased and satisfied with them as we are. - We recently had our pool demolished by A-Team and we could not be happier with the job that was done and the care that was taken with our property during the demolition. The access was not particularly easy and incorporated a partly tiled area as well. The A-Team took the time to carefully cover the tiles and also used heavy duty mats and equipment that would give the least impact on the tiles. The price was great too. Frequently Asked Questions
This typically includes tasks such as excavation, land grading, and the construction of embankments. Earthworks also cover the removal of soil and rock, adding stability to slopes and terrain, and managing the drainage and erosion of a site.
For specialised projects, this can involve tunnelling and trenching, often necessary for laying foundations or infrastructure like water pipes and cables.
At A-Team Earthmoving, we treat each project with careful planning and precision to ensure compliance and a service that is tailored to your needs.
- Excavation: Removing topsoil, rock or large amounts of earth to create foundations for buildings or other structures..
- Land Grading: Levelling or sloping the land to prepare for construction projects, improving drainage, and preventing erosion.
- Embankment Construction: Building up areas with soil or rock to support roads, railways, or to prevent water from entering specific areas.
- Trenching and Tunnelling: Creating trenches for the installation of utilities like water, gas, and electrical systems.
- Dredging: Removing sediment and debris from the bottoms of lakes, rivers, harbours, and other water bodies to improve navigation, increase waterway depth, or create new land.
- Soil Stabilisation: Techniques to increase the strength and durability of soil, reducing the risk of erosion or shifting, especially in high load-bearing areas.
- Compaction: Increasing the density of the soil, which provides stability and strength to support the construction of roads, foundations, and other structures.
Excavation:
Specifically involves the removal of soil, rock, or other materials from a site, usually to create a cavity or hole. The purpose of excavation can range from forming foundations and basements to making way for underground utilities. It is a targeted action focused on the digging and extraction aspects of construction.
Earthwork:
Includes all activities that involve manipulating the earth’s surface. This includes excavation but extends to other operations such as grading, embankment construction, trenching, and compaction. While excavation is a key component of earthwork, the latter encompasses a wider range of tasks necessary for preparing and altering a construction site.
Here are some general guidelines:
- Local Regulations: Most local governments require planning permission for demolition to ensure that the process is safe, environmentally sound, and in line with urban development plans.
- Historical Significance: If the building is listed or located in a conservation area, you will almost certainly need special permission. These regulations help preserve buildings of historical and architectural importance.
- Size and Impact: Smaller structures and outbuildings like sheds or garages might not always require permission, but it’s crucial to verify this as local policies can vary widely.
- Environmental Concerns: Demolition can impact the environment, especially if hazardous materials like asbestos are present. Environmental assessments might be required as part of the planning permission process.
We understand you’ve got better things to do than read up on local policies or chase down your local council representatives. That’s why we help take care of all compliance and regulations to ensure your project moves forward on time, without unnecessary delays and with no potential penalties.
It’s important to get your demolition project approved to avoid any nasty surprises down the line.
There have been cases where, without approval, banks would not settle loans on houses and local councils end up looking to perform safety inspections on pools that are no longer there.
The approval process can be confusing and frustrating to tackle on your own. That’s why we fully assist with the application and approval process.
You sit back while we provide all necessary forms (we’ll even assist in filling them out).
We also provide all the proof of work and other information to the relevant departments.
On completion of the works, we provide a certificate that proves that the demolition works meet all relevant standards and also remove the pool from the council plan.
